Why an annual boiler service matters
Modern condensing boilers are efficient but complex. Small issues — a dirty burner, a blocked condensate trap, a weak diverter valve — slowly rob you of heat and gas until one cold Sunday morning the whole system stops. A regular service catches these problems while they're still small, cheap fixes.
What Stewart does on a full service
- Visual inspection of the boiler, flue and its route through the property
- Remove the case and clean the burner, heat exchanger and condensate trap
- Check gas inlet working pressure and burner pressure against manufacturer spec
- Electronic flue-gas analysis (CO, CO₂ and ratio) — a proper combustion test
- Check system pressure, expansion vessel charge and pressure relief valve
- Test all controls, safety devices and case seal
- Full written service report and Benchmark stamp
